One of the things about cucumber plants is their ability to hide what they’re up to, with their big leaves.  All looks quite innocent above, with three healthy Marketmore plants quietly enjoying the day.

However, a closer look near ground level reveals several cukes growing out of view:

Including this one, which was definitely ready for picking!
