Pulses can be so delicious and versatile, it’s a shame that yields are quite small per plant.
I had a good twelve or so dwarf french bean plants on the go and the two half jars above were the full output. Still, when they’re soaked before cooking they grow bigger again so a little goes a long way. These are borlotti (and some yin yang) on the left and cannellini on the right.
I’ll definitely try these again in 2014, but will grow more plants this time.
