Our short row of ‘The Sutton’ broad beans weighed in with just under four and a half pounds (two kilos) of beans after shelling.

That made for several portion sized bags for the freezer.

Did cook and taste a few and they were delicious, with a very slight smoky flavour after you’ve eaten them.
