Grew some big turnips for the first time this year. Last year we just grew small autumn ones (Tiny Pal), but this year an early planting of Atlantic variety brought in a good hefty crop.

Here are the first lift, blanched and ready for the freezer. Will probably cook them as tiny roasts or else mashed up with carrots, a la traditionelle.
