07/09/201422/02/2015 wdouglas14 Unbeet-able Chioggia Beetroot I have to admit, I only grew these Chioggia beetroot in order to see the wonderful rings of colour. Even this golf ball-sized specimen, lifted yesterday, exhibited the famous pattern. It had a good earthy taste too, grated raw over a courgette bake.
